Our Story

Open Pilot Guide was establised when our founder was researching for recreational sailing trips and struggled to consolidate information which was scattered across an impossible number of locations. Some of it was in forums, some behind paywalls of navigational software, and some of it in books that had long since gone out of print. As a maritime pilot himself, he recognised the value of local knoweldge and was determined to come up with a better solution.
